  • To preserve the founding philosophy of credit unions.

Over 50 Years of Service

Credit Union One of Oklahoma was originally chartered in 1949 to serve the employees of many state agencies, including the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs, Oklahoma Health Care Authority, and the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services. Credit Union One was formed by and for the employees of these agencies, to provide a source for affordable financial services for themselves and their families.

Growing from our original core membership, Credit Union One has experienced increases in both membership and assets. With this growth came new relationships with other businesses and organizations in Oklahoma. By teaming with Credit Union One, these businesses and organizations could provide their employees and members with the opportunity to be a part of a credit union. Serving our expanding membership allowed Credit Union One to evolve into the full service financial institution that it is today.

In May of 2003 Credit Union One of Oklahoma became a Community Chartered Credit Union. This allowed us to open our membership to anyone who resides, works, worships or attends school in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Statistical Area. This area consists of the following six counties: Canadian, Cleveland, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie.

Currently, Credit Union One serves the community, employees and members of more than 45 agencies and associations throughout the state. We are one of the strongest financial institutions in Oklahoma and look forward to continued growth through the superior products and services that we offer.
